Cats
Update 2 May 2022: Well I’m way behind in updates, as Harley and then Augie and Oliver joined us as rescues / fosters and then never left. There were others along the way that came as fosters and were able to find other homes. If you know of stray or abandoned cats in need of assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out.

It’s the cat’s house, we just live here. From their custom cat tree to their catio and suction cup window perches, they all have the very best a kitty could want.
Tonka is the Senior House Cat. He has the sweetest demeanor and the softest fur, but also struggles with PTSD. Formerly a stray running Walla Walla’s mean streets, he is enjoying his golden years and teaching the others how to cat.
Tiberia is a California girl who came to us as a kitten. We believe she was found as a stray after the Napa fire. She likes belly and chin rubs, but Tonka is the only other cat she’ll tolerate. She and Denver were bowl buddies.
Tessa (Contessa, Tessercat) is a member of feline royalty. At least that’s what she tells us servants. It would horrify her that I’m posting this embarrassing picture of her licking her lips post-treats. Definitely not in keeping with her carefully curated public image.
Theo (Thelonious) is perhaps the world’s most easy-going cat. Nothing makes him happier than sitting on your shoulder like a parrot.
Denver is our cat emeritus. He now rests on the counter where he wasn’t suppose to be in life. The good doctors at Washington State University gave us an extra year together, but we miss him every day.
This is Owen. He was a foster rescue that Tonka and Theo took under their paws and he is now successfully adopted by another family.
