Technology 1996 - 2019

Beginning somewhere back in the 90s, I did just about everything you could think of in the software world, including:

• Decades of software development spanning Java, Smalltalk, C, and Python (among others).

• Software Testing and QA

• Sales and Pre-sales Engineering, both software and services

• Performance Engineering

• DevOps / Systems Administration

• Project management, including overseeing internationally distributed teams

Along the way, I generated revenue / saved in costs well in excess of $100MM for employers and clients. My work was seen in print and televised media on multiple occasions.

Over that time in addition to the individual contributor roles, I also held various management and executive responsibilities over human resources, marketing, and business development functions both as an employee and in my own business.

Despite the ever present social message regarding the importance of STEM education, in general I would encourage caution and awareness in pursuing these fields.
